Hearty Birthday Lunch at Nanay Bebeng’s

We celebrated my niece’s third birthday through a hearty lunch at Nanay Bebeng’s, an all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant at Garcia Heights, Davao City.

Aaliyah is already three years old. Seriously, she was so small before! Now she’s a happy toddler — always runs in circles and always jumps.

This day was a perfect pick-me-up because I was in a bad mood that morning. Being with my family instantly lifted up my mood. Also who wouldn’t be in a good mood with good food?

The Kare-kare was sooo good — I wasn’t bothered with the dominant taste of peanut or peanut butter because the meat was so heavenly soft. The desserts were also good.

I think the earthy ambiance and homey, Filipino feel to the resto is just perfect for family gatherings. Restaurants that have that homey, familiar interior never fails to make the customers feel extra full.
